CARACTÉRISTIQUES

Our three cozy cottages are nestled under towering pine trees beside our own private lake. We have 91 acres of pristine forest with over 2 km of hiking trails. Whisperwood is a perfect place for seeing nature and enjoying peace and quiet in a very private setting. Each cottage is fully equipped and we include a canoe with each cottage. There are also 2 peddle boats and a 2 person kayak to share between the three cottages. Guests can swim from our 10' by 20' dock or just a five minute walk takes you to a shallow, sandy bottom bay on crown land on Lake Manitouwaba. Guests can enjoy the evenings beside a campfire by the lake. Our third and last cottage(Oak)has a 2 person whirlpool tub, it's own small dock and an outside firepit.

DESCRIPTION INTÉRIEURE

We built our three cottages with comfort in mind. Each has two bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and cozy livingroom with either a fireplace or woodstove and each cottage has a futon or pullout couch. Natural wood floors and pine panelled walls add to the natural ambiance of a northern experience. Each cottage has a double and a queen sized bed. Guests are asked to bring their own bed linens. Pillows and blankets are supplied.

DESCRIPTION EXTÉRIEURE

Each cottage is close to the lake with great views from the screened in deck. There is a 125 foot boardwalk out to a 10' by 20' swim dock. Kids especially will enjoy fishing for perch from the canoes or from the dock as they keep an eye out for the otter and beaver frequently seen in our lake. Bass fishing is good across the road in Lake Manitouwaba. Guests can also enjoy the badminton court and our horseshoe pit. Hummingbird feeders attract plenty of hummingbirds right to the cottage deck and our friendly chipmunks enjoy the peanuts we supply. A hike on our trail around the lake will give camera buffs plenty of opportunity for great pictures.

ACTIVITÉS À PROXIMITÉ

Hiking and mountain biking are popular activities on the nearby Seguin Recreational trail and a short drive takes you to the historic Nipissing Colonization Road and from there to the pretty village of Magnetawan or turn on to Midlothian road and visit a medieval styled artists dream where you can wander through the fields beside huge concrete sculptures. Parry Sound has its famous 30 000 island cruises, golf, shopping, museums and festivals and restaurants. Winter enthusiasts will find main snowmobile trails nearby and the Nordic Ski club for cross country skiing. We also supply 4 pairs of snowshoes for each cottage for exploring our 91 acres and our trails in the winter.

INFORMATIONS SUR LE PRIX

June to Thanksgiving - CDN $950.00 /week for Pine and Maple cottages and $1050.00 for Oak cottage plus applicable taxes. A refundable damage deposit is also required. Thanksgiving to June - $160.00 per night or $800.00 per week for Pine and Maple and $900.00 per week for Oak plus applicable taxes. Long weekends are a minimum of 3 nights.
